Management background

• Graduated with honors from Taras Shevchenko National University of Kyiv (Economist-Mathematician) and earned a PhD in Economics from the same university.
• Completed research internships at London Business School, Bayes Business School (formerly Cass), Macquarie University, Dalhousie University, University of Bergen, and the World Bank Institute.
• Throughout his career, he has combined academic, managerial, and consulting roles, working in economics, financial markets, public administration, asset pricing, risk management, macroeconomics, corporate finance, corporate governance, and business modeling.
• His book Investments: Lectures on Modern Financial Theory became the first widely recognized domestic textbook on investments in the post-Soviet space; he is also a co-author of the textbook Microeconomics for Public Policy Analysis.
• Committed to integrating academic work with practical application, Alexander has served as President and CEO of the IIB, lecturer at the World Bank Training Center, consultant for the Ukrainian-German Advisory Group under the Cabinet of Ministers of Ukraine, consultant for international organizations such as the International Finance Corporation (IFC) and DAI, and a top manager in an international oil and gas engineering company.
